Docusign is a program we use to electronically sign paperwork listings, offers, buyers rep agreements etc.
Our clients benefit from this program immensely. Why? Well first of all real estate is all about timing. While buying and selling you're not just sitting around at home doing nothing. You're out living and working still. You have obligations all over. With Docusign we are able to handle all paperwork remotely. Our clients can sign on their phones, tablets or computers. Basically anywhere you can get access to email.
It’s really simple to use. So don’t worry if you are not tech savvy. Lisa or I will fill out the appropriate paperwork and upload it into the DocuSign program. Once it’s there we input your full name and email address. Then we place the marks for signatures and initials so it’s easy for you to locate. We send it off to your email and the link in the email will open the documents for you to sign.
Then you are given an option to either;
- Write your name on your phone or tablet with your finger (don't do this on the computer with a mouse).
- Use the auto-generated signatures and initials. This is the most common.
It doesn't matter if you use option a or b but we've had less user errors with option b which saves us from losing time to correct bad signatures etc.
